@Edel_EagleNZ you don't need to take any action for your DNS configuration, the email/notification from HubSpot is automated about your DNS records because it looks like they're incomplete and not fully configured. What I would recommend is to fully disconnect the domain from HubSpot since you aren't using it anymore, then it won't look like you started to connect and didn't finish.

Next to the domain in your HubSpot settings, click the Actions button and then Disconnect. This should fully remove the domain from your account since you're not using it for emails or any web content.

Our website is hosted on Shopify. All the DNS records are working. When I check a DNS Lookup using a DNS Google server to confirm, I can't see any errors.

We stepped down to a free version of Hubspot a couple of years ago. We no longer host anything on Hubspot nor do we email from this platform. We do have some pop-up call-to-actions for selected URLs.

I've recently received an SSL certificate error from Hubspot which asks me to swap out our Shopify DNS record for a Hubspot version.

Domains & URLs pageNew SSL Certificate for site

The original DNS records from when we did host our blog and resource pages on the paid version years ago are still in our DNS settings:
CNAME hs1._domainkey eagleprotect-co-nz.hs01a.dkim.hubspotemail.net

CNAME hs2._domainkey eagleprotect-co-nz.hs01b.dkim.hubspotemail.net
CNAME blog 3065334.group34.sites.hubspot.net
CNAME info 3065334.group34.sites.hubspot.net

Why is Hubspot trying to verify domain ownership, even though we're not hosting or emailing from the platform? I'm wary of swapping out our Shopify DNS record for Hubspot.

@Jnix284 Hi I have a similar issue. I'm seeing DNS record errors in HubSpot even though my website is hosted on Shopify. Every time I try to disconnect a Primary or Redirected domain that isn't completly configured or verified, it breaks my Shopify website and I get a 421 Misredirected error. I add back the connections and my site works. Do you have any idea why this would happen?

You would need to use a subdomain for HubSpot if you are keeping your Shopify domain.
