CMS AI is picking up incorrect company name

I created my original Hubspot account with a compn ay name EIP MGT Limited, but over 1 year ago I moved that company to Europe and its name changed to EIP MGT GmbH, which I changed in trhe Acocunt Defaults under Compnay information. The issue I am facing now is that by using - https://www.hubspot.com/products/cms/ai-website-generator - to try to create my first website, it is picking the compnay name as EIP MGT Limited, not EIP MGT GmbH - does anyone know how I can correct this as I am clueless?

Hey @CBarreiros

You need to change the primary domain in HubSpot : https://knowledge.hubspot.com/domains-and-urls/change-the-primary-domain-for-your-hubspot-content

Also check in the website pages section which all additional domains your website page is using and delete them :

Unfortunately it odes not fix the issue. as the domain is fine, it is the information content. When using AI assistant to build the website the Company Name is incorrect, as Hubspot picking up an old company name, not the current company name.

I have changed the company name and information everywhere I can see it, ansd still no luck!

@CBarreiros if you're replying by email, your screenshots or PDFs won't be attached and visible in the community. images can only be added directly to the thread from the community directly.

To answer your question, you need to check both these settings:

1 - Settings > Content > Pages > Branding

check the alt text for your logo

2 - Settings > Account Defaults > Branding > My Brand Kit

check the text for Logo Name

I'm not sure if these will resolve the issue, but it's the only other place where your company name could be pulled from by the AI generator that I can think of.

Unfortunately it has not fixed the issue - maybe a bug or a way for Hubspot to make me upgrade.;)

Once the page is generated though, it should let you change the name in the editor - right? or is it not letting you edit it - can you show where you want to make the change?

Hi @CBarreiros I haven't been able to pinpoint where it's coming from, I ran a test in my demo account but the results were as expected.

@CBarreiros I did some testing as part of a private beta for a different AI feature and it provided an option to change the "company name" - we made it something completely different and I found where it is updating it in the settings.

I think this is the place you'll need to change the company name:

settings - email - configuration - footer:

In this case, the AI changed this setting automatically even though it had nothing to do with email. I found this while looking for a different setting and was surprised to see our fake name here.

@CBarreiros I think I found the setting you need to update.

I was working on a private beta for a different AI feature and one of the prompts was for "Company Name" - we added a made up name GrubSpot.

The name was used for the content, but today I was looking at settings for something else and saw that the new name was showing in our email footer.

I checked all the settings we have already reviewed, like the account defaults, etc. and it wasn't updated there, but it was here:

settings > marketing > email > subscriptions > footer

click edit:

I'm not sure why the AI updated it here, I can confirm that the private beta has nothing to do with email, so this was a surprise to me that it would be changed here and hopefully that is the solution to your issue 🤞

I've confirmed with the HubSpot AI/content team that the Email Footer is the current source for AI company name.

They are working to change this as it isn't the most logical source and they are also aware that the AI generator is caching the information and not pulling in the latest information if it's changed in the settings.
