Favicon not appearing

Hi,

I am on a free account. I uploaded my Favicon image and its not appearing when the webpage is opened. Please help

When did you make the change, when did you test?

Have you tested this in a private tab or a different browser to rule out caching issues?

Can you share a link to your page?

Are you using the free tools? (If so, according to @Jnix284, that might also be the reason, see here.)

@NLourdes1912 with a free account, it will let you add the favicon in the settings (not sure why it isn't hidden) but it is only included on your website with paid subscriptions (also not sure why that limitation exists).

Here is how you can workaround it:

1 - Navigate to Marketing (in main navigation menu) > Email. In the left sidebar menu near the bottom of the page, click the More tools dropdown menu, then select Files. (instructions in knowledge base here)

2 - Click your favicon image or upload one.

3 - After you click your image, select 'Copy URL'

4 - Open a website page using 'Edit,' click the 'Settings' tab on your webpage, then scroll down to 'Advanced options.'

5 - Paste the URL you copied so you have it handy

6 - Paste this code below your URL into the 'Head HTML' section of your page

7 - replace the href URL between the two quotes with the URL you pasted above from your favicon file (make sure to delete/cut the URL, leaving only the code with the correct URL for the favicon location) - copy the final code to use for other pages.

8 - Save your webpage

9 - Repeat for all other pages, copying the final code from the first page.

Thank you for your email. I got to step 4 and when I clicked on Advanced
options it was not available to me in the free version of Hubspot. So I am
still stuck😢

@NLourdes1912 ah, that's interesting - in the past the site head HTML was not accessible, but it was available for individual pages. It looks like code editing has been locked down even further for free users, I'm sorry I didn't re-test the process before sharing it again. I'll make note that this workaround no longer works.

It might be worth adding an idea here to request that Favicons be included for Free Websites, it seems silly to keep this behind a paywall (IMO), although there must've been enough questions in the community/support about it because it is also called out on the pricing page now (and wasn't previously) this shows Free compared to Starter:

Hi yes. I followed the instructions on the branding page and
uploaded/edits the favicon. I have asked other users from other computers
to test it, but its not working.
