Trouble connecting Hostinger Domain to my Hubspot website

Please help!

I made a website on hubspot and it was working but it had an ugly URL. I then bought a custom domain on hostinger (topnotchhandymanpg.com) and tried to connect. I added the DNS records that were required, and Hubspot says it is connected, but when you try to go to my website you get an error.

When I go to the old url it is a broken version of my website.

Can anyone provide guidance here?

Hi @AlexPerkins

It looks like the issue might be caused by the extra "A" record that appears at the bottom in your DNS settings of hostinger - you need only the two that HubSpot provided.

Go ahead and delete the one that has 82.34.82.34, then give it a couple of hours for the DNS to settle and try accessing your website - that should make the error go away.

That did help, but now when I go to my website (topnotchhandymanpg.com) it looks broken and not like the one I build in hubspot. Pics attached.

But when I go to https://topnotchhandymanpg.com/en-us/ (adding /en-us/) it works fine. Am I doing something wrong where it will not work if people just type in topnotchhandymanpg.com?

I would suggest removing the language selection from the page as it's useful mainly if you have the page in multiple languages - otherwise seems to cause issues.

You can find that in the settings when editing the page:

Once you have set it to "No language", update the page and give it a few minutes, then try accessing https://topnotchhandymanpg.com/

For some reason when I went to remove the language, it gave me an error (see in the screenshot) and is still showing the broken page

Looks like there might be a blog created in your portal that has "taken over" your main domain, which is causing the error.

You will need to go to Settings > Content > Blog

Then enter "blog" in the "Blog slug" field and save the settings.

(You can also just delete this blog entirely if you aren't planning on publishing anything there.)

Once that is done, you should be able to remove the language and update your homepage.

It is the blog that is causing the issue. Encountered this while migrating from Hostinger. Settings > Tools > Content > Blog. You can delete this blog considering you have a new website and might have not updated blogs, and you'll be good to go.
