Transfering a site from Wix to Hubspot free account

Hello,

I need guidance on transferring my current site which is on WIX where I own 3 domains to the free account on Hubspot. I created a site there which I love but I don't have a clue on how to transfer the domain and I don't want to mess anything up.

Hi @CStout while you can certainly migrate your website from WIX to HubSpot, there will be a limitation with the free account and the number of domains you can transfer.

You would need to choose your primary domain to transfer to HubSpot and then use your DNS to redirect the others. If you have 3 unique websites in Wix for 3 unique brands, the only way to do that for free in hubspot is with three accounts.

@CStout you would need to follow the steps to add your domain to HubSpot, once you follow the steps and change the CNAME records with your DNS provider (where you manage your domain like GoDaddy) the old records for Wix will stop working and the new records for HubSpot will take over.

To fully propogate, it can take 24-48 hours so make sure you plan on downtime for your website during the change.

@CStout It would be Primary, with a free account you are only be able to add one domain so you want it to be the default for your content types.
