How do I trigger a workflow based on successful payment

Hello fellow memebrs,

Two questions:

I am trying to link a CTA to a payment link and would like to inquire about the following:

1. How do I trigger a workflow based on succesful payment. I looked at all the conditions under contact, company, susbcription, and payment and cannot find a straight forward way to add that trigger. So i need to use a payment form is the only way to do this?

2. Can I white label the payment link to my own domain? It doesnt look trust worthy when my clients go to pay a heft amount and the URL says Hubspot instead of my company domain.

I appreciate your insight.

Hi folks - sorry I don't have answers to this one as yet - as HubSpot payments are US-only we have not employed them in our international HubSpot user base.

I'm commenting here to follow this thread though, as I'm sure we will need this workflow trigger in future.

Hi @SLester,

HubSpot recently revamped its Workflows editor/experience. You could consider triggering on Status = 'Succeeded'.

I'm not aware of how to white label a payment link, but you could use something like a URL shortener such as bit.ly. Adding your logo and such to your brand kit provides some customization to the checkout experience.

Hi,

I am stuck on this step as well. We are selling a virtual event ticket via a payment link.

Once paid, I am trying to create a workflow that enrolls to a Zoom webinar and sends a confirmation email.

How do I set the enrollment trigger for this?

I tried doing it like this, but it didn't work:
Contact is associated to: any payment
AND associated payment has all of: $7
And source URL = the checkout page URL

Didn't work.

Your help is very appreciated.

Hi @Derrick_Minyard,

Would there be any issues with just using the record id of the payment link?

To trigger, you would use the source id of the payment, which would be the id of the payment link.

Step 1: Go to Commerce > Payment Links and click on the link you want to trigger the workflow from. Find the id of the payment link in the URL. Copy this value.

Step 2: Use the payment link id as the source id for your automation. Note, you'll want to use a 'Payment-based' workflow.

Some of the other criteria such as dollar amount and source URL seems redundant and may be where the workflow is failing to trigger.

Let me know if what I mentioned above won't work for your use case.
