Discount codes VS TAX/VAT

Hi all,

When we want to use discount codes in payment links we have the remove the tax rate from the product item/line item. As a result we can't charge taxes which we are obviously obliged to do. How can this be solved?

Unfortunately, it looks like HubSpot’s payment links don’t currently support applying discount codes and calculating tax at the same time.

Just a thought,

You could calculate the discount yourself and adjust the price of the item before applying taxes. Not ideal, but it keeps the tax in place. You might want to check out integrations like Stripe or WooCommerce for more flexibility with discounts and taxes on the same line item. They might have a solution or could prioritize this as a feature request if it’s a common issue.

Hello@DWalraevens, ensure that your discount is applied before taxes are calculated. This way, the discount reduces the item’s price, and the appropriate tax (VAT) is calculated on the discounted price.
