Payment link URL leads to "checkout link has expired"

We created QR codes that connect to some Payment Links as well as embed them in buttons on our website. Soon after their creation, we noticed the URL takes customers to a page that says "This checkout link has expired" with a "Here's a new link" hyperlink that takes customers to the correct link.

I am not the one who created these QR codes or embedded the URL links, but I have been tasked with fixing the issue. When I select "copy link" on the Payment Links page, I get a different, much shorter URL than the one we appear to have used.

I am not certain what we did wrong the first time, or if there was some other issue outside of us, but our other older Payment Links not associated with this product line did not appear to have the same issue.

I believe replacing the URLs with the ones I get from the Payment Links page is the solution, but I have also been tasked with identifying the reason why this happened in the first place. Any guidance would be helpful.

It seems the issue with the "checkout link has expired" message is likely due to using incorrect or outdated URLs. Replacing the current URLs with the shorter ones directly from the Payment Links page should resolve the immediate problem.

To prevent this from happening again, ensure that the QR codes and embedded URLs are created using the latest URLs from the Payment Links page. There might have been a change in how the links are generated or managed for the new product line, which didn't affect the older links.

I didn't see any other forum posts regarding this issue, so I figured it was likely user error on our part. Do you know what we might have done? Do certain changes made to a Payment Link potentially alter it's URL? Are there other ways to generate that URL besides pressing the "Copy Link" button?

How do we know that we have the latest URL or final URL? I had this same issue as I provided something for one of my teams and seven days later it gave us the same message.

It's persisting for me. How do we rectify this issue?
