I'm currently not using any payment integrations, but would love to see a native integration with https://www.mollie.com/ for the European market.

Hi @kvlschaefer

We use several payment methods to cater to international markets, servicing clients from our bases in Australia and Denmark. We do not use these integrated natively in HubSpot, but our HubSpot connects to our Xero accounts where most billing is completed and reconciled to bank feeds.

Stripe. An excellent fall-back method if there are complexities around bank transfers. Internationally has a higher cost because domestic charges are just over 1% but internationally are over 2%. Stripe when connected with Xero allows the option put a payment link on the Xero invoice that the customer can click, if they choose to pay by card. Stripe works better internationally from Denmark/EU than it does from Australia - because local banking laws require Stripe Australia to always clear funds in AUD to an AUD bank account. That adds an extra cost if those funds are going back out to pay for other services in the original currencies. In Denmark/EU we can clear USD, AUD, GBP and other currencies, each into accounts of those respective countries. That avoids extra costs, as funds can be cleared into currency accounts like Wise, and then used to pay business costs in those respective currencies. It is streamlined and saves FOREX costs.
Paypal we avoid due to higher fees. there is usually always a better option than PayPal, but I'm sure that varies by industry and B2B vs B2C.
GoCardless. An excellent way to set up direct debits. It has to be used with the domestic currency, e.g. collect USD from US customers, AUD from AU customers, GBP in the UK etc. Like Stripe in the EU, it can clear those funds to a respective currency account. Fees are typically lower than Stripe, especially for places like Australia where Stripe must convert everything to AUD to clear funds.
Wise. And finally, using Wise "Borderless" currency accounts means we can offer the ability for customers to pay by bank transfer, by giving them our Wise bank details for that currency. In turn we can use the Wise Business Debit card to use those balances to pay business expenses in each currency, avoiding pesky FOREX costs. Wise is ideal for clearing funds from both Stripe and GoCardless. And although not really a payment provider, as it cannot automate direct debits, Wise allows for requesting funds by sending a custom link to a customer for a specific bill.

We have tested a range of other services such as bill.com (USA) but we found that especially in the USA, smaller businesses were generally not familiar with ACH bank transfers so it was taking up time explaining ACH. Plus we also found that in some cases their bank charged high fees to transfer via ACH. GoCardless solved that problem. So for bank direct debits, it's GoCardless all the way.

I'd love to see a GoCardless integration with HubSpot, especially for recurring subscription billing.

Paycove was and still is our go to when it comes to creating and sending quotes automatically without any input from a sales rep. Since there is now an API endpoint for HubSpot native quotes to create them, we might want to try that in the future.
