Customize Donation Receipt automatically emailed to Donor

Where do I go to automate and customize a receipt after a donation is made? It only sends out a receipt for the amount of the transaction. There are no details on our 501(c)3 info or anywhere to add a personal thank you. Any help would be great!

Also, on this similar post "How to customize receipt from payment links?", I can see that @Lucila-Andimol suggests using the integration Stripe for that.

Alternatively, I’ve noticed a similar idea already present in our Ideas Forum: Payments: Customizing the email receipts that users receive by Payment link. To contribute, you can upvote the existing idea and share more details about your specific use case in the comments.

yes, you can use the itnegration with strip

or look for 3rd party apps in the marketplace.

If you need something more simple

you can have a workflow that sends an email with a standard thanyou attachment

once you have a transaction completed.

We are using Hubspot to do transactions rather than stripe. That would make it easy using stripe. I wanted to use a workflow to send an automatic email, however, I can't find where to do that. The last thing they do is hit the 'payment link' which doesn't have a workflow option. Hence my confusion. Unless I'm totally missing something.

Tanks @BérangèreL. Hi @CWRWarriors! HubSpot's payment link feature does not directly support workflows, but you can create a deal-based workflow to send a customized email after a donation is made.

First, make sure a completed sales through HubSpot payments creates and closes a deal.

Next, create a new deal-based workflow in your workflow tool, and set the enrollment trigger to detect when a payment is completed (e.g., deal stage or property update).

Then add an action to send an automated email, which can include the donation amount, your 501(c)(3) information, and a personalized thank-you message. (You might need HubSpot’s Transactional Email Add-on for this functionality, but I don't think it's a requirement - it just might help curb marketing contacts.)
