Hi Christian, you are right that HubSpot does not natively support multiple price books or tier-based pricing within a single product. Here are some practical approaches that can work for a 2-tier channel model. First, you could create product variations as you mentioned, like Product A - Tier 1, Product A - Tier 2, each with their own pricing. While it creates more products, it keeps pricing clean and reportable. Second, you can use line item properties to store the discount percentage or adjusted price, then use a workflow to calculate the final amount based on the associated company partner tier property. Third, consider using the HubSpot API with a middleware like Make or Zapier to dynamically apply pricing rules when deals are created. The workflow checks the partner tier and adjusts line item prices automatically. Fourth, if you need more advanced pricing rules, you might look at integrating with a CPQ tool like PandaDoc or DealHub which handle tiered pricing natively and sync back to HubSpot. The product variations approach is the cleanest for reporting, while the workflow plus API approach gives you more flexibility without multiplying products.

Hello all,

I hope the question is not too trivial for the community, but my search so far has not been successful: I am currently trying to create a 2 tier channel model in Hubspot. For this I need different discount levels or price categories for the different partner tiers.
Is there an elegant way? I know that I have to collect dealers in lists, but where do I store the discounts and/or prices?

Thanks, Christian

Hey, @CRa 👋 Welcome to our community. I think you are not giving yourself enough credit here, this can be a complex project to map out. My guess is that you'll need to:

you'll need some custom properties

determine which object you'll store the “partner tier” property on

look at custom Product properties

look at calculation properties (if available for your portal) to potentially handle the discounting for you

Can you tell our community members more about the product subscriptions you have? This can help our community better understand what options you may have to accomplish your goal.

Thanks! — Jaycee

Hey Jaycee,

thanks for your support:

-

you'll need some custom properties: DONE

determine which object you'll store the “partner tier” property on: DONE

look at custom Product properties: DONE and tried to develop. No helpfull result

look at calculation properties (if available for your portal) to potentially handle the discounting for you: DONE and found no way to solve it.

The project would not be really complicated if I could create different prices/discounts for different partner levels and quantity levels in the product properties. But that is simply not possible, right ? The workaround with rebate codes is not feasible for us and our channel from a handling and professional perspective. So the only way would be to create up to 5 or 6 variations of the same product.

thanks Christian

There’s no need for manual imports or duplicate product management.

On top of the synced catalog, you can control:

1. Product visibility (Partner segmentation)
Decide which partners can see which products based on:

Partner type or experience (e.g. Reseller, Distributor)

CRM properties like country, tier, or custom fields

Sync HubSpot product and add discounts

2. Pricing & discounts
You can apply:

Partner-based discounts (e.g. a discount % stored on the partner record in HubSpot)

Tier-based discounts (e.g. Bronze 10%, Gold 15%)

Custom pricing (partners override pricing when needed)

From the partner’s perspective, they only see approved products, with the correct pricing pre-filled.

Allow partner to add products

Introw is a PRM (partner relationship management) that deeply integrates with HubSpot.
