Question about the lesson on buyer persona

Hi. I'm doing the Social media marketing course and I have a question about building buyer persona. So here goes: The lesson discusses how to create buyer persona for existing brands and product lines. However, I would like to know how does one go about creating a buyer persona for a new company/product line which has sold only a few items (where most of the buyers are friends/family and acquaintances).

Hi @Adite

I recommend you take your best guess and correct as you go.

Personas are never 100% accurate, over time you will create new personas and modify old personas.

You could create a persona for your family and friends.

But I would focus my energy on 2 or 3 ideal personas for now... when you are talking to a lead think how they fit with your personas.

And, set a time in your diary to review them in 90 days.

Remember "progress over perfection".

I can't edit the persona to create on in my account but I have found a way to do it, save it and emailed HubSpot support to see if it will qualify as the assessment piece. I hope it works! Here in case anyone else is having this issue on a day off when you cant ask your admin support to change your access but you still want to do the training...https://www.hubspot.com/make-my-persona
