&lt;P&gt;For inbound calls, automatic logging in HubSpot still requires HubSpot-provided phone numbers with Inbound Calling enabled. If someone calls a Teams number or a RingCentral number directly, HubSpot has no native way to “see” that call event and auto-log it against the contact. In those cases, calls have to be logged manually, or via a third-party calling integration that pushes call events into HubSpot.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;That hasn’t changed For outbound calls, there is an important distinction. Outbound calls can be automatically logged without a HubSpot-provided number if they are placed through:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL data-start="989" data-end="1141"&gt;
&lt;LI data-start="989" data-end="1054"&gt;
&lt;P data-start="991" data-end="1054"&gt;The HubSpot Calling tool using a registered external number, or&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI data-start="1055" data-end="1141"&gt;
&lt;P data-start="1057" data-end="1141"&gt;A supported third-party calling integration (like RingCentral’s HubSpot integration)&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P data-start="1143" data-end="1380"&gt;What HubSpot cannot do is auto-log outbound calls made directly from the native Teams dialer unless they pass through a HubSpot-supported integration layer. Simply having the Teams number “registered” does not create call logs by itself.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P data-start="1382" data-end="1760"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P data-start="1382" data-end="1760"&gt;The table you linked is a bit misleading because it mixes “registered numbers” with “automatic logging.” Registering a non-HubSpot number mainly affects caller ID and outbound dialing permissions, not inbound auto-logging. &lt;P data-start="1957" data-end="2064"&gt;Teams phone system &amp;gt; no native inbound or outbound auto-logging unless paired with a compatible integration&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P data-start="2066" data-end="2236"&gt;If complete call visibility is a hard requirement, most teams end up standardizing on either HubSpot numbers or a single calling provider with a deep HubSpot integration.&lt;/P&gt;
