The recent (but not too recent) change of the editor tool in the webpages has resulted in a box that stays hovering over the other toolbar when an image is clicked. If I want to add a link to an image, i have to basically just hope that the pop up that occurs when i click on an image doesn't appear over the link button in the toolbar.

I've made a recording of the issue. In the first part, i try to add it in the main module itself, but the toolbar with the link disappears when i click on it. Then when I try to edit it in the side module bar, it pops up over the toolbar, then deselects the image when I click on the toolbar to try and get it to show up. Frustrating - the only way at this point I can see to add the link when this happens is to write it in HTML, which is a pain, because then I have to go find the URL of the page in a separate tab, copy the url, and paste it back in.

Here's the recording: https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/399351/link-issue-.webm

Measure Marketing Influence on deals

Hi all,

We already measure the number/amount of deals won with a marketing source. I would like know to measure the influence of marketing on sales deals (with a sales origin). For instance : when a deal is won, have a look to the contacts actions for each new customer-> attend to a specific event = 5% of the deal won + 2 ressources downladed = 5% of the deal won, so we could say the marketing influence the deal at 10%. I would like to do a list of actions with a % of influence (a kind of scoring, but the lead scoring is not a %). How can I do that with Hubspot? Any tips, good practices to measure influence and not only origins?

Thank you so much,

New Feature: Creating Playbooks

it is slightly disappointing to see features such as the playbook locked out. Traditionally, enterprise-level features are directly related to increased use of a product/software. I believe such features should be included in the middle tier pricing model but should have limited use.

I believe in the professional plan in HubSpot for both Marketing & Sales such feature should have more of usage-based pricing approach rather than the current structure.

It would be great if similar features were considered as improvements to the HubSpot platform or additions for current users, rather than a price increase or not being included at all.

Hi Karena,

The new feature folks have been talking about is Send Frequency Cap. It is an addition to our Marketing Enterprise product and is in limited beta. We expect it to fully released in November.

The Send Frequency Cap allows our users to set, on a porta-wide basis, a maximum number of emails contacts can recieve during a day, week, two week, or month period. The features keeps a running count of the sum of batch, workflow, RSS, and blog updates during the selected time period. Any attempt to send more of those four types will result in an email not being sent with a reason of "Reached Frequency Cap."

Users have the choice to allow sends to be sent to all contacts independent of the Send Frequency Cap status on a per email basis.

I hope this helps!

Hi Ray -

Ari from the Product Marketing team at HubSpot. We appreciate your feedback. One of the big challenges with the GDPR is that it's inherently not simple --- it's almost 300 pages of legalese, and there's no specific checklist for compliance. Every business has to approach compliance in the way that makes the most sense for their specific context. With that in mind, we made the settings as simple as we could, while maintaining flexibility for every use case.

I'd be curious to hear more about your experience with the settings. If you could wave a magic wand and simplify your GDPR implementation in HubSpot, what would that look like?

Hey lcverner,

Thanks for including a video of the behavior you described! What's more, this new image insertion plugin will allow you to add links to images within the same popup that allows you to format the image. This feature will be out to everyone within the next two weeks, so I've gone ahead and added it to your portal today.
Re: Does the HubSpot Site Search include blog posts in the results?

Hello!

This FAQ doc has a lot of information regarding the expected behavior for site search. By default, HubSpot site search should return all HubSpot hosted content. It's important to note that if you host your blog externally from HubSpot, site search will not index this content. At this time, site search is specifically for content that you host on HubSpot.

Are you blocking your blog from being indexed by search engines? If so, that will also block your blog from appearing within site search results.

A developer can also follow this documentation to manipulate the results that appear. Is it possible that the domain your blog is hosted on has been excluded?

Let me know if any of these possible explanations gets to the root of your issue!

Best,

Alex

Hello!

Thanks for your question! Based on the description you provided, I think the closest thing to what you are looking for is an attribution report, which is available within Marketing Hub Enterprise. Using an attribution report, you can create a report that gives you the percentage of contacts that were assissted by an attribution object, such as a specific source, or a specific URL. Creating attribution reports is explained in depth within this knowledge doc.

Happy to explore this further!

Best,

Alex

Hello!

At this time, you can only hyperlink text within a chat message. You cannot insert a CTA within a chat. What you could potentially do as an alternative to a CTA, is use a tracking URL within your chats. This would allow you to gather data on how many people have clicked a specific link within your chat messages.

Best,
