Our team has built some powerful examples of smart content, particularly that rely on lists. We are able to serve content based on visitor preferences or based on location information. This is particularly relevant for us as many of our content is targeted at the state level.

Web personalization has been key in many contexts for us. For most of our clients right now, segments who have demonstrated a certain level of engagement across various touchpoints would benefit most from web content that is personalized to both deliver incremental value from what they've already previously consumed from us AND that helps us nudge them toward the next step in the conversion funnel. Of course, this isn't the only useful application of personalization, but it happens to be the most salient for us (or rather, our clients) at this time.

aviod using in blog post,

you may have up to 20 rules per smart content moduele but only one type of smart content

I am a new hire, so I haven't yet been able to sit down with my boss to ask how smart rules are being used for our website. That being said, I hope our purpose behind using them is to personalize our page for anyone who comes across our website and services.
