Auto Assign a Contact Owner upon Lead Creation

We have a web form on our site, which funnels the data inputs into HS and creates a lead. How do I set up the lead to automatically assign to a Contact Owner, so I may be notified by email as new leads come into the site?

Hi @BMcBride7

There may be several ways to achieve what you are looking for depending on the size of the team.

If there is just one of you and you should be the owner of all leads:

You can add owner as a hidden field on the from and pre-set it the desired value
You can create a contact workflow (if you have access) triggered by the form submission to set the contact owner
Or you could set up the form submission notification to come to you, so that you are alerted, and allow owner to be set when you communicate with the lead (Set up your form submission notifications )

If there is more than one potential owner, things are a little more complicated. You either need to:

Create a more complex workflow to assign the correct owner after form submission and according to your business rules, i.e. vertical, territory etc
Use the Rotate workflow action to round-robin assign leads amongst a team (Rotate records between multiple owners )
Or, perhaps, send the form notification email to the whole team and let them work out the best owner

The best way to handle this problem is to create a contact-based workflow. The trigger should be the form submission then assign a contact owner and then send an internal email to you with all the details associated with the lead.

A similar issue I am facing, we are running FB leads campaign and integrated FB leads into Hubspot. Whenever a new lead is generated through FB, it automatically drops in our hubspot contacts. But there is no notification or alert for that. We tried doing everything but nothing solves it. A contact is automatically created without our notice and we always try to refresh our contacts dashboard to see if there are new leads in there.

Is there any way to create alerts for these leads syncing?
Note: These leads sync do not count as Form submissions. So all the form submissions notifications do not work in this.
