Hi @OJ_ONT - It truly depends on your current integration and reporting processes. If you’re using the dedicated landing page or form for each campaign, the solution is straightforward. You can directly assign the Salesforce campaign name on the form or through a workflow. Subsequently, you can update the other properties in the lead/contact records. Does this help?

We run lots of campaigns and we push the contacts engaging with campaigns to salesforce campaigns in order to drive ROI reporting and use the SFDC campaign member status as a flag for sales to engage.

This requires customising every form and lots of workflows to add a property value to the contact that will then drive automation in salesforce.

this requires manual config in multiple systems ... a single data entry error can break this and throw out lead handover and reporting, which my team has to investigate and fix.

I want to try and automate this so that contacts influenced by and created by campaigns get automatically pushed to salesforce campaign without all this manual setup.

This could be by matching the campaign name, or storing the SFDC campaign I'd as a campaign property.

i'm hitting a wall when trying to trigger such a workflow based on when a contact engages with or is created by a campaign... then to use custom code to look up the campaign name (or its matching SFDC campaign ID value) and then add the contact to the SFDC campaign with a specific member status.

Can this be done? Even getting a list of contacts influenced by a campaign via the API seems impossible right now.

Hey @OJ_ONT, thank you for posting in our Community!

I checked more details and while HubSpot doesn’t natively support fully automating this, you can use Custom Code Actions in workflows alongside the Salesforce Campaign. This allows you to match campaign names or IDs and push contacts to Salesforce Campaigns with the correct member status.

To our top experts, @TomM2 and @mangelet any recommendations for @OJ_ONT?

Thank you,

Thanks Pam - this sounds interesting and may get us part of the way there. The more we can automate, without having to set up a new workflow every time etc, then the more time we save and the less potential for mistakes to occur!
