Extracting a Deal's associated 'Company owner' value on Company object

👋Hi everyone,

I'm trying to set up a Custom Code action where based on my determined deal enrollment triggers.

I want to do the following:

Find the enrolled deal's Associated Company id & 'Company owner' value
Copy the 'Company owner' value into a custom property created on the deal, called 'Associated Company Owner Email'
1. (can accomplish with native workflow actions)
Assign task to stored 'Associated Company Owner Email' value on the deal
1. (can accomplish with native workflow actions)

Progress so far:

I successfuly extracted the enrolled deal id, but having difficulty finding associated company id and associated 'Company owner' value.

Any help or direction will be greatly appreciated!

Hey @JamesonC - This can be achieved without a custom-coded workflow action you can use the 'Copy property value' action and from within the 'Insert data' middle pane click 'Edit available data':

Add in Company as a data source:

You'll then be able to copy the Company owner to the custom deal property:
