Identify original contact with custom coded action?

I be grateful for any feedback on whether something like this is possible. I have a limited understanding of javascript but think this may be doable. The end goal is to identify the original contact at a company.

There is a First contact create date company property - could that be used through a custom coded workflow action to compare to the Create date contact property that sets an new property called something like Original Contact to True when the values are equal to each other?
